Data submitted by school districts via the Single Record Student Database (SRSD) include discrete information about individual students such as age, gender, race and ethnicity, and program participation. The data collected via the SRSD will be used to meet the reporting requirements of the federal No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, including the determination of Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP).

School Report Cards provide information about each school, including test performance, teacher qualifications, student safety, awards, parent involvement, and much more.  Here you may search for report cards by county, city, district, or school name:

AYP Information, data, forms

Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) is a cornerstone of the federal No Child Left Behind Act. In Michigan, it measures year-to-year student achievement on the Michigan Education Assessment Program (MEAP) for elementary and middle schools, or the Michigan Merit Examination (MME) for high schools. Other indicators, such as the number of students who participate in the assessments and graduation rate for high schools, are also considered in the calculation.

Model Coach Evaluation Instruments Print E-mail

As a key element of the Michigan Department of Education’s State System of Support, leadership coaches play a crucial role in helping turn around High Priority Schools.  The Michigan Coaches Institute continues to refine its model of leadership coaching, as depicted in the Professional Knowledge Base of Coaching (PKBC).  The PKBC is the basis for the training and support provided through the Coaches Institute and for the recruitment, selection and evaluation of leadership coaches.

These model evaluation tools provide  a framework for gathering evidence related to the competency of leadership coaches.  We understand that there are many complex factors that influence whether a coach is successful in a particular building.  That said, we also believe that identifying and developing some common criteria to evaluate the work of coaches will lead to more robust and effective coach selection, training and support.  Clarity about roles and purpose, and commonly agreed-upon measures of coach quality, are cornerstones of an effective intervention.

Here you will find Coaches Evaluation Instruments that were developed in consultation and collaboration with the wide range of stakeholders in the Michigan Principals Fellowship and Coaches Institute (MPF/CI).
